ოძრხის სამონასტრო კომპლექსი მდებარეობს ისტორიულ სამცხეში, მდინარეების ოცხისა და კურცხანისწყლის ხერთვისის ხელმარჯვნივ არსებულ მაღალ კლდოვან გორაზე (დაბა
აბასთუმანი, ადიგენის მუნიციპალიტეტი, სამცხე-ჯავახეთის რეგიონი).
სამონასტრო კომპლექსის წინასწარული არქეოლოგიური კვლევა, სამომავლოდ (მომავალი წლიდან), მასში შემავალი ცალკეული ნაგებობების აღდგენის წინაპირობაა.
საკვლევი საკითხის აღწერა და ადიგენის მუნიციპალიტეტის ტერიტორიაზე არსებული
სულიერი და ნივთიერი ობიექტების/ძეგლების ზოგადი მიმოხილვა.
„ოძრხის ხევი“, სამცხისა „...რომელ არს ზემო ქართლი“, და საზოგადოდ, საქართველოს
ერთ-ერთი უმნიშვნელოვანესი ისტორიულ-გეოგრაფიული რაიონია.
